Magni Racer - engine and frame
HistoryWhen MVs were no longer dominating races in the mid-70s, a German racing driver ordered a very special supersport road bike from Magni in 1976. It was to be better and faster than the 800 series MV America, and to look like Agostini's racers of the late 60s. This racing bike was created with a tight and lightweight fairing, Ceriani double duplex front and duplex rear. The fork comes from the MV America. The frame and box swingarm, as well as the chain drive and exhaust system, are special Magni parts. The engine was completely rebuilt by Magni and, in the 1980s, was fitted with 31-liter Keihin CR racing carburetors when larger intake valves were installed. The bike was completely restored in 2008. In 2020, the cylinder head was completely rebuilt and converted to unleaded. A half shell and an open exhaust system can be installed optionally. Conversion to a road bike is possible!
